Purlwise Long-Tail Cast-On and Combining It With the Knitwise LTCO

Hi there! I’ve got a handy video for you today showing how to do the purlwise Long-Tail Cast-On. The video also shows how to combine it with the regular, knit-wise LTCO. I like using this when I’m casting on for ribbing. The columns of knit stitches will have a smooth, knit-wise cast-on base, and the columns of purl stitches will have the bumpy purlwise cast on base to match.

The purlwise cast-on just looks cool too.

What do you think of combining the two Long-tail cast-ons? Feel free to leave questions and comments below, and have a great day!
